Job Summary:

The Marketing Assistant supports the firm's marketing initiatives, including planning and implementation focusing on revenue growth and brand development. This position will support revenue growth through graphic design, videography, photography, marketing analysis, and customer acquisition and development. This position is a front-facing position and will frequently need to interact with customers, staff, and media.

The ideal candidate is an analytical, proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong writing, organizational, and communication skills who is resourceful and can successfully manage multiple priorities. They should be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and be resilient under pressure with the confidence to hold firm on quality standards and priorities.

Major Responsibilities:

• Promote revenue growth through the implementation of the Museum media strategy.
• Support income growth in sales, admissions, and development by organizing and creating content for use on social media (outsourced), digital & print media, website, etc.
• Coordinate flow of information and disseminate it according to the organization’s marketing and communications plan.
• Monitor, analyze, and report analytics from marketing channels.
• Coordinating all media communications as well as requests for film production, interviews and media surrounding Museum events.
• Manage and negotiate marketing contracts.
• Design and create content and collateral within branding guidelines, including graphic design, photographic, and videographic materials such as event materials, site signage, maps, and short videos.
• Help maintain content on the company website, landing pages, and digital listings.
• Write and edit content such as posts, updates, stories, articles, and other materials.
• Represent the organization via interviews on tv, social media, radio, etc.
• Support customer acquisition and development.
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Must have proven superior verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent time management and attention to detail; demonstrated flexibility working both individually and within teams; and working knowledge of the full suite of Adobe programs. Academic or on-the-job experience in photography, videography, or related field. Ability to capture photo and video and edit in post-production. Candidates should be familiar with microtargeting. 

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:

The duties above indicate the essential functions of the job. Must be able to be on our site, in the store and climb many stairs in the lighthouse tower and perform required duties for periods of 2.5 - 3 hours standing. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs. Business Travel may be required. Portions of the job will be carried out in a typical Florida outdoor environment. Moderate lifting of inventory of 25 pounds and restocking will be required.CPR training to be furnished at the organizations expense.
